The Tripura Public Service Commission (TPSC) invites applications for 6 permanent posts of Senior Technical Assistant (Group-C, Non-Gazetted) under the Directorate of Treasuries & Accounts, Finance Department. Pay Scale: Level 9 of Tripura State Pay Matrix 2018 (PB-2 ₹5,700–24,000 + Grade Pay ₹2,800). Vacancies: UR (03), SC (01), ST (02) with reservations for women candidates.

Selection Process

The selection involves two stages – Written Examination and Interview/Personality Test. Here’s a detailed breakdown:

1. Written Examination

Type: MCQ-based (90 questions, 90 marks).
Duration: 2 hours.
Negative Marking: ¼ penalty for incorrect answers.
Qualifying Marks:
- UR: 35/90
- SC/ST/Differently Abled/Ex-Servicemen: 30/90
Syllabus:
- Computer Fundamentals, Data Structures, Programming (C/C++/Java), DBMS, Networking, Software Engineering, MS Office, and IT basics.

2. Interview/Personality Test

Marks: 10 marks.
Shortlisting Criteria:
- For 1 vacancy: 5 candidates called.
- For 2 vacancies: 8 candidates called.
- For 3+ vacancies: 3× the number of vacancies.
Parameters Assessed:
- Technical knowledge, analytical skills, communication, professionalism, general awareness, and ethics.

3. Document Verification

After the written exam, shortlisted candidates must submit self-attested documents (age proof, educational certificates, PRTC, experience certificates, etc.) to the TPSC office.
Failure to submit documents on time leads to cancellation of candidature.

4. Final Merit List

Total Marks: Written Exam (90) + Interview (10) = 100 marks.
Candidates are ranked category-wise based on aggregate marks. Absence in the interview disqualifies the candidate.
