Selection Process

Merit-Based Shortlisting: Candidates will be shortlisted based on their career marks. The calculation will consider: 10% of marks secured in HSC (Matriculation). 10% of marks secured in Bachelor’s Degree. 10% of marks secured in B.Ed. (for TGTs). 10% of marks secured in Master’s Degree and B.Ed. (for PGTs). Additional 5 marks for M.Phil/Ph.D. degree holders. 10 marks for candidates with both M.Phil and Ph.D. degrees. Document Verification: Shortlisted candidates will be called for document verification. The date and venue will be communicated via email or NIC portal. Final Selection: The selection committee will prepare the final panel list based on available vacancies. Selected candidates will be assigned to specific OAV schools. Appointment & Tenure: The appointment will be on a contractual basis until a regular teacher joins or till the end of the academic session. Selected candidates will sign an agreement with the OAV. Special Provisions: Relaxation in B.Ed.: For hard/very hard station vacancies, Postgraduates with 60% marks (Science) and 55% (Humanities) may be considered without B.Ed. For TGTs, Graduates with 60% (Science) and 55% (Arts) may be considered if no B.Ed. candidate is available. CTET/OSSTET/OTET Relaxation: If no CTET-qualified candidate is available, non-CTET candidates may be considered. |
