Qualification
The qualifications required for various teaching positions under the Madhya Pradesh School Education Department and Tribal Affairs Department for the 2024 recruitment examination are:

1. Secondary Teacher (Subjects)

  • Eligibility Exam: Must have passed the “Secondary Teacher Eligibility Test” conducted in 2018 or 2023 with the required qualifying percentage.
  • Academic Requirements:
    • Graduate degree in the relevant subject with at least 50% marks and a one-year Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) degree.
    • Alternatively, a graduate degree with a minimum of 45% marks and a B.Ed. degree compliant with NCTE regulations.
    • Four-year integrated degrees like B.A. B.Ed./B.Sc. B.Ed. with at least 50% marks are also acceptable.
    • Reserved categories receive a 5% relaxation in qualifying marks.

2. Secondary Teacher (Sports)

  • Eligibility Exam: Must have passed the “Secondary Teacher-Sports Eligibility Test” conducted in 2023.
  • Academic Requirements:
    • Graduate degree in Physical Education (B.P.Ed./B.P.E.) with at least 50% marks.
    • A relaxation of 5% is provided for reserved categories.

3. Secondary Teacher (Music – Singing/Playing Instruments)

  • Eligibility Exam: Must have passed the “Secondary Teacher-Music Eligibility Test” of 2023.
  • Academic Requirements:
    • A higher secondary qualification with at least 50% marks and a degree/diploma such as B.Mus/M.Mus or equivalent in music.
    • Reserved categories receive a 5% relaxation.

4. Primary Teacher (Sports)

  • Eligibility Exam: Must have passed the “Primary Teacher-Sports Eligibility Test” of 2023.
  • Academic Requirements:
    • Higher secondary or equivalent with a minimum of 50% marks.
    • Diploma/B.P.Ed. in Physical Education is required.
    • Reserved categories get a 5% relaxation.

5. Primary Teacher (Music – Singing, Instrument Playing, or Dance)

  • Eligibility Exam: Must have passed the “Primary Teacher-Music/Dance Eligibility Test” of 2023.
  • Academic Requirements:
