How to Apply for Punjab and Haryana High Court Translator Posts

To apply for the Translator posts at the Punjab and Haryana High Court, follow these steps:


Step 1: Visit the Official Website

Step 2: Online Registration

  • Click on the link for “Recruitment for Translator Posts”.
  • Read the detailed employment notice carefully before proceeding.
  • Click on “Apply Online”.

Step 3: Fill in the Application Form

Prepare the following information before filling out the form:

  • Personal details
  •  Valid email ID and mobile number
  •  Educational qualification details
  •  Scanned passport-size photograph (not older than 30 days)
  •  Scanned signature

Step 4: Payment of Fees 

  • General/SC/ST/BC (outside Punjab, Haryana & Chandigarh): ₹1000
  • SC/ST/BC (Punjab, Haryana & Chandigarh): ₹800
  • Departmental Posts (for internal candidates): ₹1000

All fees are non-refundable and must be paid online.


Step 5: Submission

  • Carefully review the filled application before submission.
  • Once submitted, take a printout of the application form and payment receipt for your records.

Step 6: Document Verification

During the testimonial checking stage, candidates must present:

  • Proof of qualification
  •  Date of birth certificate
  •  Reservation certificate (if applicable)
  •  Experience certificate (if claiming additional weightage)
  •  Affidavit/Undertaking (if applicable)

Step 7: Download E-Admit Card

  • E-Admit cards will be available on the official website. Candidates will also receive email/SMS notifications.

Step 8: Exam Preparation

The exam includes:

  • English Composition (50 Marks)
  • Translation from Hindi/Punjabi/Urdu to English (50 Marks)
  • Translation from English to Hindi/Punjabi/Urdu (50 Marks)
  • Typing Test in English (30 w.p.m.) and Hindi/Punjabi (20 w.p.m.)

Step 9: Eligibility Criteria

  • Direct Post: Graduate with 60% marks.
  • Departmental Post: Graduate with 5 years of service in the High Court.

 

Step 10: Selection Process

  • Written Exam
  • Typing Test (30 w.p.m. in English, 20 w.p.m. in Hindi/Punjabi)
  • Computer Proficiency Test
