Job info :- The Bihar Staff Selection Commission (BSSC) has released an advertisement for the recruitment of Field Assistants under the Directorate of Agriculture in Bihar for 2025. Qualification
The educational qualification required for the BSSC Field Assistant recruitment is:

  • Intermediate in Science (I.Sc) from a recognized institution.

  • Diploma in Agriculture from a recognized institution.

Selection Process

The selection process for the BSSC Field Assistant recruitment consists of the following:

1. Preliminary Examination

  • Nature: Objective and multiple-choice questions.
  • Total Questions: 150.
  • Marking Scheme:
    • Each correct answer: 4 marks.
    • Each incorrect answer: 1 mark deducted.
  • Duration: 2 hours 15 minutes.
  • Medium: Hindi/English. In case of discrepancies between the Hindi and English versions, the English version will prevail.
  • Subjects:
    • General Studies (Current events, India and its neighboring countries, etc.).
    • General Science & Mathematics (Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Geography, and basic arithmetic).
    • Mental Ability Test (Reasoning, analysis, observation, etc.).

If the number of applications exceeds 40,000, the preliminary examination may be conducted in multiple phases, and normalization techniques will be applied to finalize the results. Candidates equal to 5 times the total number of vacancies will be shortlisted for the main examination.

2. Main Examination

Details for the main examination will be published through a separate advertisement after the preliminary examination results.
